Fear of the movie-based game

Let’s be honest – as a rule, games based on movies don’t work.

But simple math provides the reason why these bad games keep happening:

Fact 1 – movies make $$$

Fact 2 – games make $$$

Therefore, games based on movies will make $$$.

There are two movies coming out this summer I’m looking forward to which will undoubtedly be made into video games – and I’m nervous:

The Dark Knight

Iron Man

I hope things change.

I hope, starting now, that we no longer will have to fear movie-based games.

Only time will tell. . .
