What made me cheer when I read the latest Halo Bulletin? Playlist updates? Latest Custom Challenge intensive? Nope. It was the sound it made.
When I read the words Banshee replaced with Revenant on Breakneck, I distinctly heard the sound of cheering.
The sound of joy.
The sound of liberation!
No more will an entire team cower before who can rush a Banshee the fastest. No more will an insanely unfair advantage cause weaker Spartans to quit in disgust.
The time is now … the purple menace gone … this day, we fight! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Men of the West!
Okay, so a little carried away there. But the point is made – it’s a brand-new day in Breakneck!

Hear hear! One of the best maps just got infinitely better!

It is incredible the Halo we have access to. The other day I say down, grabbed cup of coffee and watched some of the videos on Waypoint.
Then a had a moment where I had to laugh – the fact that you can sit down, relax, and have a cup of joe while you hear about the history of the Covenant for example is just wild.
I think we take it for granted now, with all the media these days (even bad games have websites, etc.); but it really does take something special to be able to hold people’s attention, and Halo keeps delivering.
