On rare occasions, genius is recognized in it’s own time and elevated to its proper place in our social conscience.
More commonly, some dork is blessed through no merit of his own and finds himself on Halo Waypoint.
What has taken place in the last two days is definitely proof of the latter 🙂
CruelLEGACEY has started up a Community Spotlight feature on Waypoint and was kind enough to have me be the opening act.
He asked some great questions – so head over here to get my thoughts on why Halo has lasted this long, how 343 is doing with the story, and the first thing I will do when I finally get my hands on Halo 4 (hint: it involves tingly goosebumps).
There’s even a thread in the forums for good measure. Nice!
My next stop on the awesome train was the latest Modcast, Episode 20. It was a blast and great to talk with Cruel – head over here to hear about my love of snowy maps, nostalgia for Reach, and take up for randoms.
You’ll also here me use the words “like” and “you know what I mean” WAY to much, so I’ll have to work on mixing it up for next time if there is one!
Many thanks to CruelLEGACEY for making this happen, for the other mods in letting me hog the show (although I don’t think they were asked), and BS Angel for allowing my stuff to be Waypoint-approved.

Really enjoyed this podcast, it was such a good listen really great hearing you guys feeding off each other conversing about Halo. I also would like to offer a belated thank you for putting a link on your page to our humble little blog, just noticed that when I was checking my traffic stats. If I had the power to make you a real Knight I would. Hopefully play some practice games with you soon in preparation for our PGCR match up.

Quim,
Thank you for the comment and the kind words – listening back through the Modcast I think one person sounded cool … and it wasn’t me. It was great to just let the conversation roll; having a nearly two-hour discussion of Halo is something I don’t take for granted.
No problem on the link – glad to do it, and I really enjoy the content.
What? I’m not a real knight?!
Looking forward to the practice games, but I’m afraid the stat they will improve on my end will be “games played” rather than “player skill.” 🙂
