Completed the main story of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate on September 8, 2019, then completing the Jack the Ripper DLC on October 5th of the same year.
Looking back I feel like this game never got a fair shake since I was more excited to play Assassin’s Creed Origins and primarily looked at this game as “playing the whole set”.
Still I enjoyed the game, the highlight being the first-hand compassion I felt for a London cabbie in the 19th century when trying to get through the city quickly.
However the story (including the DLC) didn’t live up to its potential and in the end London just wasn’t as awe-inspiring as Paris had been in Unity.
Another strike against the game (though not it’s fault) was my playing of Batman: Arkham Knight beforehand. The freedom that game gave for traversing a open-world city meant that even with the grappling hook I felt bogged down and slow.
So it was absolutely worth it but by the end I was ready to be done.
